Hoylake and Burton Mere Wetlands 11th October 2022

    Bymail@billneil.co.uk 11 October 2022

We joined the birding group on our first group day since our Scotland trip and it was for a high tide on the Wirral – 9.5 m at 12:48pm. With such a late tide we were able to stop off at Moels first, where we saw a small flock of Common Scoters out at sea…

    Aberdeen and Musselburgh 19 -25 September 2022

Burton Mere Wetlands and Parkgate 6th September 2022

    Bymail@billneil.co.uk 6 September 2022

Despite predictions, we had fair weather for a trip up to Burton Mere Wetlands. Despite there being quite a lot of rain recently, water levels were fairly good and afforded us decent views of a few waders, especially Sandpipers.

    Bymail@billneil.co.uk 21 June 2022

The last day of the birding group terms was, as it often is, at Marbury Park. It was a pleasant enough day and it was interesting to note the improvements to the path running along the edge of the mere. There were still a few Sand Martins and Swallows flying around and lots of Coots…
