WWT Slimbridge 30-31 October 2025
We had to go down to Bristol for the funeral of a friend so, to buck ourselves up a bit and to break up the return journey we stopped of at Slimbridge for an overnight stay that allowed us to get an afternoon visit one day and a morning visit the next day.

Birding Group Visit to RSPB Leighton Moss 9-10 Oct 2025
The first birding group outing of October was to RSPB Leighton Moss and, in a break from tradition, it was on a Thursday. Birding Group Visit to Burton Mere Wetlands & Denhal Quay 30th September 2025
Our last birding group visit of the month was to Burton Mere Wetlands on a lovely sunny day with fantastic visibility all the way over to the Welsh hills. There were plenty of ducks but not many species. We did get a year first bird, though.

Birding Group Visit to Pennington Flash 23rd Sep 2025
The first birding group outing of the autumn 2025 year was a trip to Pennington Flash on a nice sunny day following some weeks of heavy rain. We didn’t see an awful lot but it was nice to get back into some birding after a long period off
