Birding Group Overnight Visit to North Wales and Anglesey 15-16 Jun 2026
Our annual overnight stay was a trip to Anglesey where we hoped to get as many cliff breeding birds as possible at RSPB South Stack. The weather turned out to be fine and the traffic wasn’t too bad, so we were hopeful for a great couple of days of birding.

Birding Group Visit to Goyt Valley and Dane Bank Quarry 2 June 2026
The first outing of June for the birding group was to the Goyt Valley and Dane Bank Quarry. We had somewhat mixed weather and also mixed results. Our target birds here are always Pied and Spotted Flycatchers, Redstarts, Tree Pipits and, at the quarry, Ring Ouzel and Wheatear. We were disappointed in some of these…
