30th November 2021 Harp Inn / Denhall Quay, Neston
When we left Burton Mere Wetlands, where we had been birding with the birding group, we decided that because it was a mild day and surprisingly the rain had held off so far, we would drop down top the Harp Inn for a drink and a toastie and look for Short-eared Owls.

30th November 2021 Birding Group Visit to Burton Mere Wetlands
The last birding group day out of November was to Burton Mere Wetlands. We didn’t bother going down to Inner Marsh Farm but we had a nice walk on a day that threatened rain but kept dry for us.

WWT Martin Mere 23rd November 2021
After we had been to Marshside, we didn’t have a lot of time left and the weather was getting a bit iffy, so we dropped in at the cafe for a tea and then just went to the main indoor/outdoor hide so we could get of first Whooper Swans of the year. apart from that

RSPB Marshside 23rd November 2021
The birding group were going to be visiting Burton but a last minute change of heart tookus to RSPB Marshside where we had hoped to see any of the Snow Buntings, Twite, Greater Scaup or Glossy Ibis which has been seen in recent days. We saw none of these! However, we had a good morning

Wigan Flashes 16th November 2021
The second birding trip of the month was to Wigan Flashes which was fairly quiet except for a year tick of Goldeneye.

Sandbach Flashes 2nd November 2021
With the birding group active again, we were able to meet up a few times in November and return to more regular birding.The first outing of the month was to Sandbach Flashes which were almost completely under water – even the path down to the farm was under water all the way to the main
