January was a quiet month apart from some good birding whilst we were in holiday for two weeks in Lanzarote.

Our quiet spell of birding continued into November with more bad weather being a disincentive. Also we were had a week in Sicily that limited our birding opportunities. Be that as it may, November did have one or two nice birding experiences.

July 2024 Summary
The summary for July is simple – no birding at all apart from the back garden. This was due to a combination of wet days, hot days and all the birds laying low in the countryside after the breeding season.

May 2024 Summary including visits to Wigan Flashes, Burton Mere Wetlands, Leighton Moss, Brockholes and Upper Goyt Valley. Twenty-Six new year ticks and a total, so far, of 114 species for the year. Plus what’s happened in the garden in May.
