Sandbach Flashes 2nd November 2021
With the birding group active again, we were able to meet up a few times in November and return to more regular birding. The first outing of the month was to Sandbach Flashes which were almost completely under water – even the path down to the farm was under water all the way to the main road. this rather limited where we could walk to be we did the usual places.
There wasn’t a lot to see and a couple of Stock Doves were the only new birds for the year. Still it is a treat to get out and about birding whether it is a big day for sightings or a little more modest, as this was. Interestingly we didn’t see any Tree Sparrows and a regular birder there says that there haven’t been any for about three years!
