Brockholes 16th September 2020
We ventured out on the 16th to Brockholes to pick up my scope which had been repaired by Swarovski but we didn’t do too much bird watching. It was totally different to our last visit. The children are back in school and a lot of people are back at work so it was a lot quieter that before – thank god.
I had a long chat with Bernie about their relocation which they hope to have done as soon as possible. They have been shunted to the main reception rea now but that is a temporary situation until they get into their new place.
We had a look around but didn’t see anything much so headed off to the Bluebird Inn nearby for lunch which was ok.
As a matter of interest, when I got my AX ocular back, it didn’t come with either the soft rubber eyepiece protector or the hard plastic lens cover. I emailed Bernie about this and he said that if I contacted Swarovski they would replace it. I contacted them and they said they would replace it within a week or so. Next morning they dropped through the letter box!
